Kalsarp Shanti is a Hindu ritual performed

Kalsarp Shanti is a Hindu ritual performed to alleviate the negative effects of the Kalsarp Dosha, which is believed to occur when all planets in one’s birth chart are positioned between Rahu (the North Node of the Moon) and Ketu (the South Node of the Moon). This Dosha is considered to bring challenges and obstacles in various aspects of life. The Kalsarp Shanti ritual is aimed at pacifying the malefic influence of the Kalsarp Dosha and seeking blessings for overall well-being.

It’s important to note that Kalsarp Shanti is a complex and specialized ritual that should be performed under the guidance of an experienced priest or astrologer. The specific procedures and rituals can vary based on regional customs and individual interpretations. Here is a general outline of the Kalsarp Shanti ritual:

Consultation:

Consult with a knowledgeable astrologer to determine the presence and severity of the Kalsarp Dosha in your birth chart. They will provide guidance on the appropriate rituals and remedies.

Preparation:

Clean the Pooja area or altar and decorate it with flowers, rangoli, and other auspicious items.

Collect the necessary items for the Pooja, including idols or pictures of deities, flowers, fruits, sweets, incense, lamps, camphor, sacred water, sandalwood paste, vermilion, turmeric powder, sacred thread (moli or kava), a copper pot (kalash), betel leaves, betel nuts, rice, and a coconut.

Invocation:

Begin by invoking Lord Ganesha by chanting his mantras and seeking his blessings for a successful Pooja.

Light the lamp and incense sticks to purify the surroundings.

Sankalpa:

Sit in a comfortable position, facing the altar, and state your intention or Sankalpa for performing the Kalsarp Shanti ritual.

Seek the blessings of your ancestors, gurus, and deities for their guidance and support during the ceremony.

Navagraha Pooja:

Offer prayers and perform a Pooja for the nine planetary deities (Navagrahas) to seek their blessings and balance their energies.

Kalsarp Shanti Pooja:

Perform the Kalsarp Shanti Pooja, which involves invoking the deities associated with Rahu and Ketu, Lord Shiva, and Goddess Durga or Devi.

Offer prayers, flowers, fruits, sweets, and other sacred items to these deities while reciting their mantras and seeking their blessings.

Perform the Rudrabhishekam, which is the ceremonial bathing of the Shiva Linga with sacred substances like milk, water, honey, and ghee while chanting the Rudra Mantra.

Homam:

Conduct a Homam (sacred fire ritual) to appease the malefic influence of the Kalsarp Dosha.

Offer specific materials into the fire while reciting mantras associated with Rahu and Ketu.

Archana and Aarti:

Offer prayers and recite the 108 names or other mantras dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga.

Perform the Aarti by circling the lamp in front of the deities while singing or reciting the Aarti song.

Prasad and Blessings:

Offer the prepared Prasad (blessed food) to the deities.

Seek their blessings for the removal of Kalsarp Dosha and overall well-being.

Remember, it’s essential to consult with an expert or a priest who specializes in Kalsarp Shanti
